Ok, finally finished it tonight. Had to clear my mind of the day's events, and what better way to do it than painting!
Zombie Spawn is another of my all-time favorite Spawn figs... but like a lot of the older figures, I have always been disappointed with his paint application. So like the Battleclad repaint I did, I set out to improve that. I am also making a cemetary base for him, with arms from a Zombie Al Simmons coming from the ground, but the "mud" is still drying.
This was just a total repaint. I cleaned him up a bit, sprayed him down with black primer, then repainted him from scratch, piece by piece, including accessories. The only mods are I dremeled out the barrels of his machine gun and handgun so that they resembled real barrels, and I dremeled out the gunky tentacles on his mouth and eye so they are no longer solid hunks that divide the holes.. they are now have space behind them.
I'm quite pleased with how it turned out... thought I'd share it with y'all!

the red's a tad too dull or pinkish though
if you have spare cape pieces, maybe make the loin cloth thing like the more modern capes, cause it almost symbolizes Spawn figures now

Pink? hmmm... it's pretty dark red actually... I don't know, maybe the photos came out odd and my monitor isn't seeing it?
I did darken up the loincloth a bit with a black ink wash along the edges, and the whole back, since it was bright red. In person, all the reds on the figure are darker, almost maroon...

and EQ - WHERE'd you get that Grifter picture?? Is that a t-shirt or something?? I MUST HAVE if so!!!!
One of my upcoming customs is a new Grifter! [img]biggrin.gif[/img] One of my all-time favorite characters next to Spawn!!
